Agaricus bisporus is an edible mushroom native to grasslands in Europe and North America. It has two colour states while immature—white and brown—both of which have various names. When mature, it is known as portobello mushroom, often shortened to just portobello.
EASY Stuffed Mushroom Recipe
8 portobello mushrooms
1 each of: diced onion, tomato, capsicum, celery or any other vegetable you like
Garlic, lemon, salt and pepper
Sliced cheese of your choice
1 Remove mushroom stems and use for your stuffing.
2 Dice all the vegetables in smallish pieces and add garlic, lemon, salt and pepper. Mix. You can lightly fry at this stage before stuffing if you wish.
3 Place mixture in the mushroom and place two slices of cheese on top.
4 Bake in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
5 Remove the mushrooms from the oven and dust with paprika.
