Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of the ginger family used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat various diseases.

Turmeric Green beans


500g fresh green beans, trimmed
Your type of oil
2 crushed garlic cloves 
1 finely chopped fresh chilli, 
1/2 teaspoon ground or finely chopped fresh turmeric


Step 1
Bring to the boil water with salt, then add the beans. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until tender or the way you like it. Drain and run cold water through the beans and drain.

Step 2
Over medium heat add the oil then garlic, chilli and turmeric. Cook for about 1-2 minutes while stirring then add beans and mix. Cook for about 1 minute and serve.
