The Chili

 

The chili pepper is the fruit of plants from the genus Capsicum and are widely used in many cuisines to add spiciness to dishes.

 

EASY QUICK RECIPE 🍽️

 

Chili Jam

 

Ingredients

1kg tomatoes, ripe

60g fresh ginger

6-10 chillies, as you like it

150ml red wine vinegar

1 tablespoon fish sauce

400g sugar, white or raw

6 fresh garlic cloves

 

Method

Blend all ingredients to a puree consistency. Place in a pot and bring to the boil on medium, while stirring. Once it boils, simmer 35-45 minutes, every now and then stir so it all cooks evenly.

 

Place in warm sterilised glass jars, cool to room temperature and then store in the fridge.
